1 killed, 3 injured in early morning west Lubbock crash

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating a Thursday morning collision in west Lubbock that left one man dead and three others hospitalized.

Officers were called to the intersection 19th Street and Milwaukee Avenue at 3:37 a.m. on Thursday for reports of a collision with injuries between an SUV and a pick-up truck, according to a statement from LPD.

Upon arrival, officers located the driver of the truck, 39 year-old Russell Floyd, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. They also located 18 year-old Ebony Constancio, the driver of the SUV, 23 year-old Adrian Reyes, and a 16 year-old who were both passengers in the SUV. Constancio and the 16 year-old were transported to University Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries, while Reyes was transported to UMC via ambulance with moderate injuries.

Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears the SUV was traveling south in the 1800 block of Milwaukee, while the pick-up truck was traveling east in the 6500 block of 19th Street, at which point the two vehicles collided in the intersection, traveling a short distance before coming to a rest at the southeast portion of the intersection.

The investigation is ongoing.
