www.hotcars.com Everything We Know About The 2022 Buick Lacrosse Avenir

American automobile giant Buick launched the Lacrosse in 2021, and it received a plethora of admiration owing to its marvelous features and exclusive styling. Now, Buick has introduced the 2022 version of the flagship sedan with some more refinements, particularly eyeing the Asian market. The new car is offered with the same styling features as the original model. Still, it will be detuned with fewer convenience features to make the car more affordable and competitive in the tough sedan segment in Asia.

The new 2022 Buick Lacrosse Avenir is termed as ‘pre-shared,’ which denotes its lower-trim nature. While the higher trims of Lacrosse fall in the premier class sedan and offer utmost luxury and convenience, the 2022 Lacrosse Avenir will have lesser perks and features.

Buick is primarily launching the lacrosse Avenir for the executive transport companies, thus is priced accordingly. Though the powertrain configuration of the car will remain the same, there might be a few changes in the exterior.

Decently Stylish Exterior

The 2022 Lacrosse Avenir shall have a sporty look like its elder, high-end sibling. The silhouette curves of the car will remain the same featuring a long bonnet, slanted rooftop extended in a steep angle towards the rear, and a brief rear. The car’s body has smooth curves and crease flow from front to rear with metallic accents. The long bonnet ends at a trapezoid front grille panel with a silver net grille and silver bordering with the round company logo in the middle. An end-to-end stripe intersects the logo, and crystal headlamps accompany the grille on the sides.

Silver accent bracketed dual exhausts may also be present at the rear, and the car will ride on 19-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, Buick’s hugely popular Lacrosse’s Merlot Red Wine exterior color scheme may also be offered for the Avenir, together with an optional Jade Black hue that the company believes will be an instant hit.

The Clean And Minimal Interior

For the Interiors, Buick may offer a new optional light gray tone with the standard beige. However, there shall be some downstage in interior convenience facilities due to its low-spec nature. The power-operated rear sunshades and rear-seat massage function standard in upper trim Lacrosse may not feature in the 2022 Lacrosse Avenir. Despite this, the car has some exciting elements to offer in its interior.

The seats, door panels, and roof will receive premium upholstery with significant upgrades of the headrests, backrests, and leg support for comfortable long rides. The front seats will also have the embroidered logo of Avenir on them. The car's dashboard will adopt a minimal look, with very few switches and two large displays for controlling most of the features inside. Buick has not yet revealed the size of the screens, but the car shall have a digital driver's display and a central touchscreen for infotainment. For the entertainment of rear-seat passengers, the car shall have two screens on the back of the front seats.

Further features that can be carried from the upper trim model to the new Avenir are a dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system with a PM2.5 filter and AQS air quality control system. The upper trim of Lacrosse features a Bose sound system, but that may be replaced by a low-priced alternative in the new car.

Engine Under The Hood

The standard 3.6-liter V6 of the earlier version of Lacrosse will not be seen in the new Avenir. Instead, this stylish executive sedan will be powered by General Motors’ turbocharged 2.0-liter LSY four-cylinder engine capable of producing 233 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain will be either an all-wheel drive or a front-wheel drive, and the power will be distributed through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2022 Buick Lacrosse Avenir is particularly designed to dominate the Asian market and executive transport companies. From the slightly lesser specs of the car, it can be assumed that it shall not have a hefty price tag like its predecessor. Though it will not have all the exclusive high-end features of the company’s flagship sedan, the estimated features of the car will be quite upscaled to meet the expectations of Lacrosse admirers. Apart from the exclusive exterior and interior features, the car shall have advanced safety features for a safe ride for its passengers.
